Just after school was out...June 12, 13,14 we all went on our Stake Youth Pioneer Trek...John and I were one of the Ma & Pa's for the adventure and each of us had a family of 8-10 youth. Shyla and Kaylie each had their own family. It was quite the adventure! Long, tiring, hot, exhausting, enriching, spiritual, exhilarating...are just some of the words to describe our experience. It's something my feet won't soon forget. I was ask to be a photojournalist along the way...I didn't mind at all, but my camera backpack did become quite heavy at times. But I captured so many amazing experiences along the way. I'm working on a slide show of our adventures for the stake. Even though it was difficult and miserable at times, to watch these youth work together and push and pull the handcarts was truly amazing.
